DESCRIPTION:
The NTE5424 is an all-diffused silicon controlled rectifier (reverse-blocking triode thyristor) intended for high speed switching applications such as power inverters, switching regulators, and high current pulse applications. This device features fast turn-off, high dv/dt, and high di/dt characteristics and may be used at frequencies up to 25kHz.

Features:

Fast turn-off time (t_q) = 6µs Max.
High di/dt and dv/dt capabilities
Shorted-emitter gate-cathode construction (contains an internally diffused resistor between the gate and cathode)
Low thermal resistance
Center-gate construction (provides rapid uniform gate-current spreading for faster turn-on with substantially reduced heating effects)
