A Vast Line Of Reliable Resistor
The NTE quality line of Flame Retardant Resistors is designed for replacement and original equipment use. They are ideal for use in:
- Entertainment products
- Telecommunications equipment
- Industrial (MRO) equipment
- Power Supplies
- Computers
- As replacement resistors in all types of applications where safety is a concern
Our line of resistors can be used to replace:
- Carbon composition
- Metal film
- Cermet film
- Wirewound
- Metal glazed
In short, our resistors can be used in all market areas and applications.
NTE's complete line of Flame Retardant Resistors range in capability from 1/16 watt to 300 watts with values ranging from .010 Ohm to 22 Meg Ohm.
Types such as round ceramic & vitreous wirewound are designed with a construction that insures long life, durability, and reliability. NTE's quality resistors are sure to provide high performance at a low cost.
Thermistors have also been added to our extensive resistor product line. A thermistor is a type of resistor whose resistance varies significantly with temperature, more so than in standard resistors. Thermistors are widely used as inrush current limiter, temperature sensors (NTC types typically), self-resetting overcurrent protectors, and self-regulating heating elements. Most PTC thermistors are of the "switching" type, which means that their resistance rises suddenly at a certain critical temperature.
NTE has included a link to a handy Graphical Resistor Calculator. By selecting the proper color bands, this page will calculate the value of a resistor. (Illustration Copyright 1996 Danny Goodman (AE9F). All Rights Reserved. Used by Permission.)
